Welcome to the Divorceketeer® Web Site
Everyone handles divorce differently. The Divorceketeer® Club is a story of unlikely friends who have one thing in common; they have all survived divorce. Pronounced like musketeer; a Divorceketeer® is simply anyone who has survived divorce. The book chronicles a true-to-life romance while offering thought-provoking discussions of interest for those who have gone through the devastation of divorce.
The book and this website are intended to offer support to anyone suffering from heartbreak and the strains of moving forward in their divorced life. Most can relate to one character and have certainly crossed paths with others. The Divorceketeer® Club explores questions about relationships after divorce. Many characters pop in and out of the story, offering their opinions on such divorce matters as; moving on, obsession, what men and women want, and always the question of when to have sex. The conversations spark some lively disputes from challenging club members. The varying beliefs, spirited discussions, and stories will enable divorced readers to validate their own struggles and thoughts. I believe there is solace in knowing you are not alone with your feelings.
One of the fictional characters, who has been a part of the Divorceketeer® concept from the start, is Sin-D Bitch-O-Witch. By definition, she’s a miserable excuse of a woman who finds it a challenge to steal another woman’s man. She is usually uneducated and trashy. Soon after, to keep the score even, I came up with Damn D Jerk. He’s a miserable excuse of a man who B.S.’s and baffles women into thinking the grass is greener on the other side. These are the characters everyone loves to hate. The rationale for their names is simple; Sin-D for the sin of divorce and Damn D for damn divorce. The lesson in it all is: Don’t be a Sin-D Bitch-O-Witch and don’t be a Damn D jerk.
I have always known there was a need for a social network and camaraderie to help people going through divorce and relationship problems. Divorceketeer® is cute and catchy and is still a work in progress. The book is fun, humorous, sometimes poignant, and always thought provoking. It’s real life 101.
